Since March more than 90 purse thefts have been reported to police in Sunderland who are advising women to make sure their valuables are hidden in a secure part of the handbag, which they keep Jewellery Silver Bangle hold of at all times.

Insp Steve Flaxen, of Sunderland Central, said: "In some cases victims only realise their purse is missing when they try to pay for goods at the checkout. Often they have visited several shops and don't know when or where the theft happened."
